LED lights have a very low current draw so when they are used as turn signals on a motorbike set up for incandescent globes they may flash faster than usual, as if there was a blown bulb, or not flash at all (if there’s not enough ‘resistance’ to trigger the flash cam). We have designed our CLICK’n’RIDE Resistors to correct this problem and bring the flash rate back to approximately 60-90 FPM (Flashes Per Minute)

Add a CLICK’n’RIDE Resistor to each LED light connected to the motorcycle signal circuit until there’s enough ‘load’ to trigger your flasher unit.

NOTE: On some bikes, you may not need the Resistor at all if you keep the globed lights on the front and fit CLICK’n’RIDE on the rear.

Installation:

Locate the LED Turn Signal Wires. The CLICK’n’RIDE Resistor should be installed with the red Lead wire to the + Positive signal wire, and the black Lead to the – Negative signal wire.  LED’s are polarity dependant and each motorcycle manufacturer can have a slightly different set up. If you’ve added resistors to each LED Light and your indicators still don’t work, try swapping the resistor’s red and black wires.

Select a location for the CLICK’n’RIDE Resistors (Note: It will get hot when the signal is flashing so avoid mounting on the fairing or other parts that may get damaged from heat). Wires may be shortened if desired.

If your current setup has 3 wires you would omit the Running light wire and only use the + and – wires.
