Getting a flat on the trail is a big enough pain without having a way to hold your bike in the air to remove your wheels. If you can purchase a centre stand for your bike it will certainly help but how much does it weight and will it keep the front wheel off the ground?
These little units weight only 300 grams/11 ounces and are easily cable tied to your bike or even fit in your tool bag or paniers. They also come with a second piece which is a small bracket that attached to the top of the stand. One end fits nicely under the swing arm while the other fits better up the front of the bike. Drilling a small hole in the front right side of the bash plate if there's nowhere else to attached it and can have the front wheel off the ground in seconds.
It comes with a Velcro strap to lock the front brake while you lifting the rear wheel.
Also great to use for a quick chain lube.
