The Ktm 1050/1090/790 Luggage Rack is made from 5mm aluminium 5083 plate. This plate is chosen because of its extreme suitability for welding, abrasion and impact resistance, bearing in mind the full weight of the bike and rider. All Carry/Luggage Racks are supplied with the necessary stainless clamps and bolts where possible.

Spacers and screws

The luggage plate is strong and designed to fit well and should be easy to get on - but the instructions are useless and the screws supplied are countersunk which don't fit flush in the rack. I nearly stripped out a screw hole because it was trial and error to find out which one of the three sets of spacers I needed to use. Better instructions and fasteners needed.

Better than expected

This is a real solid machined piece of equipment. The install was simple and I suspect this part will last the life of the bike. I ordered the polished finish and it looks great.
