This type of BMW Adaptor Cable is suitable for installation behind the bike windscreen for all BMW GS model years.
For installation on handlebar, it only works for previous model years (e.g. R1250GS/GSA) with BMW Navigator socket located under the right-side fairing. If you plan to install Caretta Cradle on the handlebar of such bike and don’t need the extra power output, choose the BMW Adaptor Cable Simple 50cm – it is easier to route on the bike.
For installation on the handlebar of the new BMW models with BMW Navigator socket located behind the headlight you will need the BMW Adaptor Cable Simple 100cm. Please check your bike manual to make sure – generally this applies to BMW R1300GS/GSA and BMW F900GS/GSA
For installation behind the windscreen there is also the BMW Adaptor Cable Simple 50cm. Choose BMW Adaptor Cable Simple 50cm if you don’t need the power output split. It will be easier to route on the bike.
